I have two post-fermentation plans for this beer, neither of which have I tried before. I am going to show some restraint and wait to unveil my plans until after fermentation so that I can have some pictures to share when detailing said plans. For now I'll just show this picture of my latest attempt to better aerate my wort before fermentation.

Is aerating the wort a good thing? I thought not.
some new posts finally!!! I stopped checking out your page. I can't wait to see what you do to this beer.
It depends - boiling takes all of the oxygen out of the wort. I try not to agitate / aerate the wort during the cool down process to precipitate out as much trub as possible. Once I separate the wort from the trub - I then try to aerate the wort as much as possible to because the yeast use the oxygen to respire when they are multiplying. After fermentation I try to not aerate the beer as much as possible so that it carbonates properly.
I don't blame you - I stopped checking my blog too. I plan on keeping up on it for a while so definitely check in.
