Ahhh. The "This is Halloween" song brings up the heated debate I have every year with the wife. Is Nightmare Before Christmas, a Halloween Movie or Christmas movie?
mmmmmmm - if i can weigh in - I would say both, but if you had to pick one I'd go with halloween. While the movie spans the time between halloween and christmas, and the movie's climax occurs at christmas time, the movie is essentially about halloween town and the people of it. Therefore I would give the edge towards it being more of a halloween movie than a christmas movie. Also, I would lean on the Walt Disney Corporation (easily the most trusted source of holiday whatever), which endorses it as a Halloween movie by re-releasing it in 3D each year just before Halloween(which Noel and I went and saw last week and was awesome).
I love the Legend of Sleepy Hallow clip. I had forgotten about that one.
That clip is the best part of the movie. Noel gave me the DVD last year for xmas - it has long been a staple of our annual holiday movie viewing.
